Your favorite color and why.
Green is amazing, in Nature’s countless shades. But beautiful blue, quite a bit of my wardrobe is some fabulous azure hue. Oh and purple’s sensational – deep, rich, and royal. While I used to be adverse to pink, lately I’ve been drawn to dark raspberry…
I’m not sure I can pick a single favorite as allure is influenced by mood. I tend to lean towards the green/blue/purple end of the spectrum as opposed to red/orange/yellow. I also find that I shy away from pastels and softer tones. I like my colors vibrant, full and robust.
Why? I’m not going to justify it – sometimes it’s enough to just say that there’s no defined, cognitive reason. Instead it’s a visceral, instinctual feeling. I like them because I like them.
Whether you subscribe to such things or not, I leave you with some Color Psychology:
Green. Green is very calming, balancing, healing, relaxing, and tranquil. It represents growth, vitality, abundance, and nature. Green stimulates possibility and is very inspiring.
Blue. Blue is calming, healing, soothing, and relaxing. Blue characterizes dependability, trustworthiness, and security. It increases creativity, contemplation, and spirituality.
Purple. Purple represents nobility, abundance, and dignity. It is very soothing and calming and is often related to intuition and spirituality.
(Apparently all the colors I am drawn to are all very calming. I’m not sure if that means I’m totally laid back or if the universe is telling me I need to chill!)
