Challenge – Day Twenty One

Your zodiac/horoscope and whether you think it fits you.

I don’t take the whole zodiac thing very seriously. To say that your personality is predetermined by the position of celestial bodies at the time of your birth doesn’t sit well with me. However, it’s fun to look at.

Independence is not just desired by Aquarius, it is essential to their well being. Absolutely, at this point in my life more than ever. However, I have in the past, found myself succumbing to co-dependency. It wasn’t healthy. I think the memory of that pushes my need for self-reliance into overdrive, not an innate predilection.

Aquarius’ one downfall in the business world is the attention to detail. That’s a definite no; I wouldn’t have a job. My career relies on numbers, organization, multitasking, and meticulous time management. I’m extremely good at what I do.

Despite their stubbornness and fixed opinion, they will never impose their ideas on others, they have respect for everybody’s differences. I’m unquestionably stubborn, but my opinion does not have to be absolute. If you can give me logical, fact based, scientific reasons to change my mind, I won’t cling to a bad assessment. I also respect everyone’s opinions, until folks try to impose their opinions other people’s liberties. For example, you may be homophobic, but unless you are actively discriminating or voting against marriage equality, you have the right to that point of view, even if I find it morally reprehensible.

Aquarius is intellect driven and not emotionally driven, often seen as aloof and dispassionate. I value intellect highly; in fact I think it’s my best feature. I have also had people tell me, not that I’m necessarily unfeeling, but that I’m always acquiescent, well collected, imperturbable. Believe me friends, when I say it is a facade – still waters run deep and I experience emotion deeply. I just don’t choose to expose myself, wearing my heart on my sleeve.

They are verbally skilled and very witty. If you read this with any regularity, you can decide that one for yourself.

Aquarius is known to pick at anyone they find weak or dull-minded. As I know how it feels to be picked on, I try very hard to never be the bullying sort. However, I do recognize that I have a low threshold for stupidity.

Aquarius Strength Keywords: Witty, Clever, Humanitarian, Inventive, Original
Aquarius Weakness Keywords: Stubborn, Unemotional, Sarcastic, Rebellious, Aloof

Out of those ten words, I’ll lay claim to six, possibly seven of them, most of the time. Your choice on which you think they are!

Finally, 9 tips for loving an Aquarius (and I think they’re pretty good):

1. Stimulate the Intellect
2. Save the Drama For Your Mama
3. Be One Step Ahead (If Possible)
4. Embrace Alone Time
5. Support the Eccentricities
6. Be the Warmth
7. Practice Golden-Retriever-Like Loyalty
8. Be a Sexual Explorer
9. Watch Them Spread Their Wings and Fly
